About the Todi scale

One of the ten thaats (parent scales) of North Indian classical music, as classified by V. N. Bhatkhande in the early 20th century. A raga is defined by more than its notes (its phrases, ornaments and emphasis), so this shows the note set only.

What makes it sound the way it does

It has a flat 2nd, 3rd and 6th, a sharp 4th, and a natural 5th and 7th.
