About the Prometheus scale

Named after Alexander Scriabin's Prometheus: The Poem of Fire (1910), which is built around his "mystic chord".

What makes it sound the way it does

It climbs in whole steps from the root to the ♯4, then jumps to the 6th and ♭7. There is no perfect 5th.
